Amid the band playing, actress Neha Dhupia was welcomed at Richmondd Global School’s annual day celebrations in Paschim Vihar. Young boys and girls gave energetic performances to songs at the event which launched the first issue of the school’s magazine. Praising the children who rehearsed for three months, Neha said, “The performances are very impressive. All the parents must be very proud of these children.
Seeing them perform, I want to join them on the stage.”
Reminiscing about her school days, she advised students, “If you have a dream, if you have a talent, go out and pursue it. Parents shouldn’t pressurise their children, because it doesn’t bring out the best in them. Encourage them to do whatever they can. Children just need encouragement and support to pursue their dreams.”
Rishabh Gupta, CEO, said, “In Mosaic 2014, we focused on mass participation of students in a beautifully choreographed ballet performance. Recognition of talent through awards motivates students to be an all-rounder and not focus only on academics.”
Talking about the function, Kiran Sehajpal, principal, said, “We aim to teach children important lessons through this function. Apart from other performances, we have a special performance dedicated to naari, to educate boys that a woman should be respected and to tell girls that they should be brave and strong.”
